The Sales Director has primary responsibility for growing Southport's business in their assigned geographic territory or named accounts through sales strategy and execution.  This includes working with Southport's Vice President of Sales to acquire new customers, upsell existing customers, and ensure customer satisfaction.  Specific responsibilities include:

·         Continually develop new business engagements by identifying and meeting target clients, networking, and selling Southport's consulting services;

·         Cultivate and expand existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular client interaction; 

·         Produce revenue by generating project engagements, framing projects, clarifying scope of projects with clients, drafting Statements of Work; 

·         Identify future project needs of clients and minimize engagement disruption by ensuring clients’ expectations are met; 

·         Lead sales calls and present Southport offerings to potential / existing clients; convert opportunities into billable projects; 

·         Meet and exceed revenue goals and quotas; 

·         Ensure approved business contracts are executed by taking responsibility for the completion of all engagement paperwork, including the timely receipt of signed engagement letters; 

·         Keep abreast of industry trends, changes and developments; 

·         Support team goals of Southport by participating in strategy meetings, including discussing pipelines, marketing strategies, and current challenges; 

·         Master and embrace internal best practices and tools;

·         Provide for timely collection of receivables by monitoring payment of client invoices;

·         Other duties as assigned.
