Responsibilities 

·         Provide a consultative approach with business users, asking questions to understand the business need and deriving the organization’s information infrastructure based on those needs

·         Design and implement ‪logical and physical data models based on information infrastructure.

·         Draft and communicate data integration strategies and visions 

·         Specify optimal cloud and on-premise infrastructures for all areas and domains of the enterprise, including Data Acquisition, ODS, MDM, Data Warehouse, Data Provisioning, ETL, and BI 

·         Define and enable innovative and advanced technologies to organize, manage and enable complex business analytics capabilities. 

·         Develop strategy to ensure the quality and integrity of data flows and ensure the integration of metadata across the tool suite 

·         Assist in defining data quality metrics, standards and guidelines for using data 

·         Coordinate with project managers and participates in project planning 

Qualifications

·         Minimum of 15 years of experience designing large scale data models for data warehouse environments 

·         Diverse experience with database technologies including MPP appliances (Oracle, MS SQL, Hadoop, DB2 etc.) 

·         Strong experience with large data sets ( >50TB) 

·         15 years of Data Warehouse experience including demonstrated strong Logical, Canonical, Rational, Dimensional and Physical Data Modeling skills 

·         Minimum 15 years of experience with data modeling tools (such as IBM Data Architect, Sybase Power Designer, Erwin, ER*Studio); experience in normalized, dimensional, star schema and snow-flake models 

·         Proficiency in master data management (MDM) projects and solutions 

·         Experience with large-scale graph algorithms, clustering, page-rank, and community detection is a plus 

·         Knowledge and appreciation of Pharmaceutical business concepts and requirements a plus

·         Ability to apply policies and procedures to solve every day and/or complex company issues 

·         Ability to gather business requirements, perform analysis, and establish/recommend a data integration architecture 

·         Ability to work in a team environment 

·         Excellent communication and documentation skills 

·         Experience with Agile/Scrum is valuable 

·         Experience with data modeling and data virtualization tools 

·         Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision-making skills 

·         Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a teamwork-oriented environment 

·         Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be both directive and collaborative 

·         A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or comparable job-related experience is required
